Alt Consult Solutions is a Cape Town-based technology consulting firm helping South African businesses get more value from technology. We work with growing businesses that are at a technology crossroads: outgrowing their current systems, preparing for a significant change, or trying to get a stalled implementation back on track. Our clients value independent, practical advice from someone who has no interest in selling them a particular product or platform.
Who We Are
Alt Consult Solutions is founder-led by Dylan Bornman, a business technology consultant with hands-on experience across the full software delivery lifecycle. Dylan has worked across business analysis, project management, solution design, implementation oversight, and change management — which means he understands both the business context and the technical delivery realities of a technology project.
Being a specialist consultancy rather than a large firm means our clients work directly with the principal, not a junior team. The person you speak to in the initial consultation is the person doing the work.
How We Work
We are vendor-neutral and platform-agnostic. We do not earn referral fees or commissions from software vendors. When we recommend a solution or approach, it is because it is the right fit for the client — not because of a commercial relationship with a supplier.
We work alongside your team rather than replacing it. We bring structure, experience, and an independent perspective to complement what your people already know about your business.

We are based in Cape Town and serve clients across the Western Cape and South Africa. Most engagements can be delivered in a combination of on-site and remote working, depending on what the project requires.
